Wish Upon A Star

A few days ago a mommy friend of mine posted in her blog about a day she had spent with her son. It included going to the planetarium we have here in town. I had never even thought about taking Kaden there before. He loves going out and seeing the moon and the stars at night so why wouldn't he love going to the planetarium? They have several different options for kids to see. We decided to go to the 11am showing of One World, One Sky. It is a Sesame Street themed film. In it Elmo and HuHu Zhu travel to the moon and they learn about the moon and the Big Dipper and how even if your on different sides of the universe you still are looking at the same stars. It was a cute film.

We were the only ones in the theater when we first arrived. I was excited about not having to worry if Kaden was going to "bother" anyone who is actually wanted to really pay attention. Right before the show started, two girls with a young boy came in and shortly after it started those same girls family came. The grandpa thought Karsyn was his grandson (it was dark in there) and came and gave her a hug and sat down next to us. He realized once he heard his daughter calling for him that we weren't his family. It was cute. Everyone chuckled a bit. Kaden did pretty good sitting there and paying attention. There were a few times where I had to tell him to come sit back down next to mommy. If helped if he sat on my lap and we talked about what was going on and if I asked him questions to keep him involved. Karsyn was GREAT! She sat in her stroller the whole time and was quiet as a mouse. My dad also joined us in the fun.

After the planetarium we had enough time to stop at Chick Fil La to pick up lunch and come home and eat before naps. Kaden also wanted to call his Mimi and tell her ALL about his planetarium visit. He told her that HuHu Zhu tried to fly a kite on the moon but there is no air so it just stayed on the ground. He told her that he say the Big Dipper. He also told her that you can look at the same stars from the moon as you can here on earth. He also said that Mimi works on earth.

Now I am trying to figure out what we are going to do tomorrow!
